In accordance with these criteria, the objectives of the AMAS Project are summarized in the following four items:

A.- To debate AIDS problems with groups and individuals affected by the disease.

B.- To develop approaches to the social problems posed by AIDS, using a phased consensus at different stages.

C.- To draw a final document on AIDS, its social implications, and the future strategies needed to fight the disease.

D.- To issue a public report on the results of the work done, to increase the AIDS knowledge base and tools and expand social awareness.
